Plenty of great amenities and facilities for camping. All campers (fifth wheel, tv's, tents, etc.) Are allowed at this campground. Plenty of sites. Staff is friendly and willing to answer questions and help make your experience become better. Reasonably priced, and within a half hour to Milwaukee or an hour to Chicago.
I love the vibe of this place! It has great views from the camp sites, and the sites are large. We don't have kids, but we love it anyways!
BEST campground in the area! Can't rave enough enough about the caring owners, wonderful staff, beautiful grounds, farm animals, playgrounds for kids, ponds, frogs, fishies, hiking trails, activities, and a pool! Stayed here in our RV for several months while planning a move out of state. They have seasonal sites, monthly sites, tent sites, and lots of activities on the weekends for the kiddos. 5 Stars all the way!!!! Our toddler loved the animals, playgrounds, frog pond, swimming pond, and the fun staff members that really know how to entertain kids! If we are ever in the area again we will definitely be back to Happy Acres. We already miss all our friends we made this summer!
We chose this campground because of the good reviews on google. Our campsite was nice because it was a bit more secluded than others, but overall, it was okay. Everything fun for th kids costs extra money, except for swimming and the playgrounds. So if you are camping on a budget, your kids will be enticed by the fun stuff but won't be able to do it. Even a shower costs 25 cents. It's not a lot, but why should a shower cost money. Overall, it was OK.
It's a nice campground but mostly geered towards children. Nothing for adults except maybe swim at their lake. Pool is nice but very small and packed with splashing kids. Lots of caged animals to look at with playgrounds, water bumper boats, kayaking, miniature golf etc...all for children. Cabins are clean but very, very small. The whole campgrounds along with public bathroom/shower house is spotless. Staff is mostly young teenagers so be prepared for young experienced type service.
